Some of the most prominent challenges posed for existing practices can be attributed to Building Information Modelling (BIM) which proposes fundamentally new methods of handling and creating information rich models and new ways of working with other stakeholders by re-aligning the disciplinary roles and responsibilities, and creating opportunities for additional roles for the sector (Eastman et al., 2011). The potential of BIM integration for AEC practice is evident (Miettinen and Paavola, 2014). Tags: AECO • Architecture • BIM • Building Information Modeling • Construction • design • operation
